미국대학순위 (2013년) - US News & World

Harvard대학과 Princeton대학이 지난해에 이어 올해에도 미국 최우수 대학으로 선정 되었습니다. 지난 9 12 US News & World Report(이하 US News)지에서 발표한 순위에 따르면 상위 5위까지 지난해와 변동이 없었습니다.

 

US News 12일 입학성적과 지원 경쟁률, 학교 재정, 대학간 상호평가, 졸업률, 1학년생이 전학 없이 2학년으로 올라가는 Retention Rate등을 평가한 결과 종합대학 부문에서 상기 두 대학이 지난해에 이어 올해도 공동 1위에 올랐다고 발표 했습니다.

 

3위도 4년 연속 Yale 대학이 차지해 1위부터 3위까지는 지난해와 순위 변동이 전혀 없었습니다.  4위는 Columbia대학과 Chicago대학이 그리고 6위는 MITStanford대학이 공동 선정 되었습니다.

 

지난 해 MIT와 같이 공동 5위에 올랐던 Cal Tech 2011년 졸업률이 87% 20위권 대학 가운데 최저 수준을 기록하며 올해 10위로 처졌고 공동 5위였던 U Penn도 올해는 8위에 머물렀습니다.

 

지난 달 대학 서열을 높이려고 입학생 성적을 부풀렸다고 시인한 Emory대학은 지난해와 마찬가지로 20위를 기록해 순위에는 변화가 없었습니다.

 

그밖에 20위권에는 Johns Hopkins대학과 Brown, Cornell대 등이 이름을 올렸고 Boston College 31, NYU 32위에 머물렀습니다.
